NOTD 21.07.11

This is my Nail of the Day and although I'm not usually a green nail polish fan I really like this colour.

On the website it looks much paler but I don't mind it being darker.

Two applications but it could've done with three on a couple of my nails.

Apart from For Audrey by China Glaze, Essie's Turquoise and Caicos and
Barry M's Mint Green I think this is another favourite in my Green collection.

"Teal" is £1.50 [10ml] from ELF (UK)

Two things I noticed about this is packaging which I'd not noticed with any other ELF nail products, the nail polish box mentioned code "1577 Dark Glitter Purple". I don't think the colour I received is the one from the (above) swatch.

On their website it says "Teal". My box although labelled wrongly with Dark Glitter Purple, the Invoice slip says "Teal Blue" with code 1577. It's no big deal I like the colour but if you want to buy it based on the swatch it may be lighter, or perhaps darker than you may think but I think that's true with most nail polishes. I know I've been disappointed previously with a nail colour being darker or not the colour I'd thought it would be online to when I received it as in the case of China Glaze's Turned Up Turquoise. I wore it twice but I didn't like it so I swapped it for OPI's
Extra-Va-Ganza! with a friend. I absolutely love the OPI (it's not a green) but a silver and gold glitter. I wore it as a top coat on my last NOTD with Leighton Denny's Supermodel polish as a ring finger manicure.

This is the first week this month I've not used glitter on my nails and I feel naked!

This is also the first week this month I've not done the ring finger manicure *gasp*

Do you like, wear green or blue nail polish?

Which colour would you not wear on your nails?

I think this is such a pretty colour that I can see myself wearing this on fingers and toes.
